About the Therapist
After 20+ years of working in warehouses, driving forklifts & delivery trucks, I had accumulated a number of bad postural habits that had threaded seamlessly with poor health choices culminating into a constant state of disease, most of which was centered upon my spinal cord. I finally made the decision to do something about it, resulting in my regular visitations to a chiropractor. As part of my new self-care regime I began incorporating yoga & calithstenics into my life and took notice of the positive effects it was physically & mentally having on me. At this point in my journey I was looking for a new profession and thus set about exploring more into the wellness model. It was here that I decided upon pursuing massage therapy. Since graduating from Cortiva Institute for Massage Therapy in 2012, it has been my goal to bring tangible (& affordable) health support for people via manual bodywork. It has been my observation that most folks in modern western culture take better care of their automobiles than they do their own bodies. Life can be a hard road for many & your body is a akin to a vehicle taking you down that road. Getting massage therapy on a regular basis is no different than bringing your car in the shop every few thousand miles. Treat your body the same, it will thank you later!
