Q: How do I book an appointment?
A: Returning clients can easily book an appointment online through our booking page or by calling or texting us directly at 630-708-6559. First time clients, please call or text to schedule your first visit.

Q: What should I expect during my first massage?
A: Prior to your appointment, you will receive an email with a link to fill out your Intake Form. This form includes a brief health history and your current complaints/issues to address. Please fill out this form prior to arriving. Your first session will begin with a brief consultation to discuss your health history, any areas of concern, and what you hope to achieve from the massage. From there, your therapist will tailor the session to your needs. You’ll be draped with a sheet or towel at all times, ensuring your comfort and privacy.

Before Your Appointment

Q: What should I wear to my massage?
A: Wear whatever makes you comfortable. You’ll be undressed to your comfort level during the massage and covered with a sheet or towel. Some sessions, such as CST and Reflexology, are fully clothed sessions. Please wear comfortable clothing.

Q: Should I eat before my massage?
A: It’s best to avoid a heavy meal right before your massage. A light snack is fine if you’re hungry. Staying hydrated before and after your session is also important.

Q: How early should I arrive for my appointment?
A: We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early, especially if it’s your first visit. This gives you time to use the restroom and relax before your session begins and for your therapist to review your intake form with you.

During Your Session

Q: Can I talk during my massage?
A: Absolutely! Your comfort is our priority. If you’d like to chat, feel free to do so. If you prefer to relax in silence, that’s perfectly fine too. Your therapist will take her queue from you.

Q: What if the pressure is too much or not enough?
A: Don’t hesitate to speak up! Your therapist wants to ensure you have the best experience possible, so if the pressure needs adjusting, just let them know.

Note: some services, such as MLD and CST, are intentionally light touch and can not be adjusted to firm pressure.

Q: Will I be sore after my massage?
A: It’s normal to feel a bit sore after a very firm massage or if you’re currently in cancer treatment. Lighter touch is used for oncology patients to help avoid this. This soreness should subside within a day or two. Staying hydrated and stretching can help alleviate any discomfort.

After Your Appointment

Q: How often should I get a massage?
A: This depends on your individual needs and goals. Some clients benefit from weekly sessions, while others find that once or twice a month works best. Your therapist can work out a plan for you based on your goals and individual needs.

Q: Should I tip my massage therapist?
A: Tips are never expected, but always appreciated. Your tip helps fund our “Pay What You Can” program for cancer survivors in need. If you are need of this program, please contact me by email, phone or text for more information.

Health and Safety

Q: Are there any conditions that would prevent me from getting a massage?
A: Certain conditions like fever, infections, or recent surgeries might require you to postpone your massage. Massage is not appropriate for infectious illnesses or acute injuries that have not been assessed by a physician. Please inform your therapist of any health concerns or recent injuries so they can adjust the session accordingly.
